Laptop Support Policy
Laptop Support Policy (External Display Requirement)
We support laptop setups only when an external monitor is used. The laptop’s built-in screen must not be the active display during use.
Requirements:
- External Display:
Connect a dedicated external monitor via HDMI, DisplayPort, or USB-C.
- Primary Display Setting:
- Open Windows Settings → System → Display
- Select your external monitor and check "Make this my main display"
- Disable Laptop Screen:
- Press Windows + P
- Select Second screen only
- Scaling and Resolution:
Ensure your external display uses 100% scaling and matches its native resolution (same as standard Parsec display requirements).
Why This Matters:
Laptop panels often cause rendering inconsistencies, driver conflicts, and overlay issues. Using an external monitor ensures:
- Proper scaling and 1:1 pixel mapping
- Stable overlay initialization
- Accurate GPU rendering without hybrid graphics interference
⚠️ Unsupported Configurations:
- Running the product solely on a laptop’s built-in screen.
- Using a duplicated display setup (both laptop + external).
- Mixed-scaling environments (e.g., 125% on one, 100% on another).
If you’re unsure about setup, contact support before proceeding.
