Laptop Support Policy (External Display Requirement)

We support laptop setups only when an external monitor is used. The laptop’s built-in screen must not be the active display during use.

Requirements:

  1. External Display:

Connect a dedicated external monitor via HDMI, DisplayPort, or USB-C.

  1. Primary Display Setting:
  • Open Windows Settings → System → Display
  • Select your external monitor and check "Make this my main display"
  1. Disable Laptop Screen:
  • Press Windows + P
  • Select Second screen only
  1. Scaling and Resolution:

Ensure your external display uses 100% scaling and matches its native resolution (same as standard Parsec display requirements).

Why This Matters:

Laptop panels often cause rendering inconsistencies, driver conflicts, and overlay issues. Using an external monitor ensures:

  • Proper scaling and 1:1 pixel mapping
  • Stable overlay initialization
  • Accurate GPU rendering without hybrid graphics interference

⚠️ Unsupported Configurations:

  • Running the product solely on a laptop’s built-in screen.
  • Using a duplicated display setup (both laptop + external).
  • Mixed-scaling environments (e.g., 125% on one, 100% on another).

If you’re unsure about setup, contact support before proceeding.
