Fake Window Appearing on the Wrong Monitor
If you use multiple monitors (for example, a 3-monitor setup or a Parsec virtual monitor), you may notice that the fake game window or overlay sometimes appears on the wrong screen.
This can cause issues when trying to alt-tab or move your mouse between displays.
The Issue
When injecting, the cheat creates a virtual or “fake” window used to manage rendering and scaling.
On setups with multiple or virtual monitors, Windows may assign that window to a random display, usually whichever one was last active.
The Fix
You can easily move the fake or virtual window in your Windows display settings:
Open Display Settings
- Right-click your desktop → Display settings
Identify Your Screens
- Click Identify to see which screen numbers correspond to your monitors.
Reposition the Fake Window
- Click and drag the purple (or numbered) display boxes to rearrange them.
- Place the fake or Parsec monitor wherever it’s most comfortable (e.g. on the far right or left).
Apply the Changes
- Press Apply to confirm.
- You can now alt-tab normally without your mouse getting “stuck” or needing to cross all screens.
Tip
If you’re using Parsec, ensure your virtual monitor is enabled before launching the game or loader, this helps Windows remember the correct layout each time.
Summary
Problem | Solution |
|---|---|
Fake window appears on wrong monitor | Move displays under Windows “Display Settings” |
Mouse gets stuck on overlay or can’t alt-tab | Rearrange monitor order and reapply layout |
