Laptop Support Policy

Laptop Support Policy (External Display Requirement)

We support laptop setups only when an external monitor is used. The laptop’s built-in screen must not be the active display during use.

Requirements

  1. External Display

Connect a dedicated external monitor via HDMI, DisplayPort, or USB-C.

    Primary Display Setting

    • Open Windows Settings → System → Display
    • Select your external monitor and check “Make this my main display”

      Disable Laptop Screen

    • Press Windows + P
    • Select Second screen only
  2. Scaling and Resolution

Ensure your external display uses 100% scaling and matches its native resolution (aligned with standard Parsec display requirements).

Why This Matters

Laptop panels can cause rendering inconsistencies, driver conflicts, and overlay issues. Using an external monitor ensures:

  • Proper scaling and 1:1 pixel mapping
  • Stable overlay initialization
  • Accurate GPU rendering without hybrid graphics interference

⚠️ Unsupported Configurations

  • Running the product solely on a laptop’s built-in screen
  • Using a duplicated display setup (laptop + external)
  • Mixed-scaling environments (e.g., 125% on one, 100% on another)

If you’re unsure about your setup, contact support before proceeding.
